With pretty pathways leading from its private garden and picturesque countryside all around it, this stunning Kent cottage offers an extremely pleasing base for any dog-lovers getaway. Happily hosting four guests and two dogs, both yourself and the pups will likely go mutts for the never-ending and entirely rewarding routes to be explored all around. Spend time discovering the stunning scenery of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, take a trip to the marvellous coastline or simply relax at home and make the very best use of your enclosed garden with a private fishing lake.
Whilst this byre’s surrounding outdoor space is extremely dog friendly, we do advise that care should be taken around the lake and when socialising with the owner’s dogs who live just next door. Put your best paw forward and step inside to find a characterful open-plan living space with high vaulted ceilings and original beams throughout. Offering ample room for you to cook, dine and unwind, this room is an extremely cosy space to rest and recharge after a day outdoors. Throw a log or two on the wood burner to create a warm spot for pets to curl up, leaving sleeping dogs to lie right here as you retire to two lovely bedrooms.
You’ll find pretty Kent villages and scenic woodland all around when staying here. Pack up your doggie treats and tennis balls to explore Cherrygarden Wood (0.5 miles) before heading to Rolvenden (1 mile) for a pint in a dog-friendly pub. Further afield, you’ll find Bodiam (5.5 miles) where you can take a walk along the River Rother and admire the moat-surrounded castle, and the coastal town of Camber (13 miles) with its dune-backed beach and pet-friendly zones for games of fetch 365 days a year.
