Clean and comfortable, once heating system mastered. Instructions for heating and TV would have been useful.

Small cottage which is fine if you just want a base for visiting the local area and are agile enough to get up and down the challenging staircase. Can get a little cold in the Winter if you don't use the log burner.

The cottage is well equipped, the welcome pack appreciated. There are two major problems and several minor ones. First major problem was the DANGEROUS STAIRS. This needs to be mentioned on the Holiday Cottages website and any other publicity. We were not the first to say that we would not have booked had we known the stairs were steep, winding Read moreand without proper handrail. They are completely unsuitable for anyone with even slight mobility issues. Second major problem was the fact that THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS for appliances, heating, Smart TV navigation, recycling, etc, let alone suggestions for places to visit, recommended eating places, etc. The owner was contactable by phone but the signal was intermittent at best. It took him about 15 minutes to set up the TV for iPlayer when we called him in. Again, we were not the first to mention this in the Visitors' Book. Less serious issues were the upstairs shower which required great strength to turn on and the downstairs shower where the cubicle door did not close completely. The main door to this shower room did not close completely either meaning no privacy when using the loo. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss this with the owner. Hide

Lovely cottage which the owners have restored to a good level. Parking on the patch of land between the main road and Back Lane. Nice sized enclosed garden. Fish and chips from the local chippy were really good. Cromer, Overstrand & Mundesly easy to get to. About 10 mins drive away and beaches great for dogs even with the restrictions. Not far to walk to get to dog friendly parts. Cottage was well equipped and the shower was great! Stairs quite steep and shallow. Beds comfy. Hide

Small, but comfortable and well-equipped. The only thing we missed was a normal height dining table. The current table is very narrow and tall with high bar stools. The stools are not easy to get onto or move into position close enough to the table once youre on them. Other than that we were very pleased with the cottage and really enjoyed our stayRead more.
