Treat yourself to a big family getaway in Sussex. This mansion has plenty of room for nine humans and two canine companions. It would make a great location for a big celebration of a significant birthday or anniversary. You’ll be staying in a rural area on a working farm, close to Hastings.
The property is spread over three levels. The ground floor opens up with a traditional lounge with an open fire and a grand piano for classy evenings. People who love the great outdoors are sure to enjoy the garden room, which is full of plants, has coordinated decor and a gorgeous view through the patio doors. If you’d like a quiet moment, head to the reading room/study to pursue your intellectual passions. There’s a kitchen with underfloor heating, and it connects to a dining room. The dining room has a vaulted glass ceiling for natural light, and there’s a snug in the corner. Finally, the ground floor has a WC and a utility room. Head to the first floor, where you’ll find a family bathroom with an impressive, free-standing bath. There are three bedrooms: a single, a double, and a king-size master bedroom with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom. Continue to the second floor for the last two bedrooms, another double and a twin, both of which have en-suite bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful but unenclosed, so you’ll need to keep an eye on Fido and Buster, especially around livestock. The garden has an outdoor dining area and a BBQ.
The house has plenty to keep everyone occupied, but if you’d like a day out, head to Hastings (6.5 miles) for gorgeous walks, plenty of history and a dog-friendly beach. Battle is also just 3 miles away if you and your pack fancy discovering some fascinating local history.
