Set tails wagging with a trip to Norfolk. Invite your loved ones: this barn conversion can accommodate two couples or a medium-sized family, and don’t forget your canine companions. You’ll be in a great spot, surrounded by countryside, with plenty of beaches nearby and the option to visit the city of Norwich.
The first room you’ll come to is a kitchen/diner. There’s everything you could need to whip up dinner for everyone, and as an added touch, the floor has stone tiles. After you’ve eaten, go through to the lounge. This room opens out and you can see the bones of the building, a high ceiling with exposed beams. It’s naturally airy, and if you’d like extra warmth, you can light the wood burner. There are stairs to one side, which lead up to a mezzanine. First, visit the downstairs bedroom. It has a king-size bed and is quiet and comfortable. The second bedroom is upstairs. It’s a flexible room which can be arranged as a twin or a super-king-size. Finally, there’s a bathroom with a P-shaped bath. You’ll have two outdoor spaces: to the front, there’s a patio with a dining area and to the rear, there’s a meadow that leads to the river and is sure to be a favourite of the dogs.
You’ll be staying in the small village of Lamas, part of a string of settlements adjacent to the River Bure. If you’d like to visit a beautiful nearby city, Norwich is just 10 miles away. Try going to the market, where you’ll find food from all over the world, then amble down the river to see castles, churches and bridges. If you and your salty sea dog fancy a splash, try Greater Yarmouth (24 miles) or Bacton (11 miles) for dog-friendly beaches.
