Gather your pack and get ready for an adventure. This renovated farmhouse in Snowdonia National Park is a treat, with space for a large group and their dogs. You’ll be surrounded by incredible countryside and close to the coast, so you can enjoy the variety and beauty Wales has to offer, or take in the views from the privacy of your own sauna.
Walk into the property, where on the ground floor there are two large social spaces, each lovely but with very different feels. Firstly, there’s the kitchen/diner, which has two large tables and glass patio doors offering natural light and stunning views. Continue to the lounge, rich with traditional charm, where exposed brick meets grand leather sofas surrounding a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace. There’s also a utility room and a bathroom. Head upstairs, where you’ll see the property’s five bedrooms. There is one king-size bedroom; one king-size with an additional double sofa bed; one double; one double with bunk beds; and finally, a single bedroom. Four of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms for additional comfort. The house has a large, enclosed garden with plenty of incredible features, including a fire pit, BBQ, outdoor dining area and, best of all, a sauna with space for ten people.
You’ll have plenty of things to set tails wagging. Snowdonia National Park has activities for people (and dogs) who love to get outside. When you’ve trekked and climbed your feet/paws almost off, take a paddle on Fairbourne Beach, 4.5 miles, or at Arthog Waterfalls, 2.5 miles. If you’d like a hearty meal afterwards, head to Barmouth (4.5 miles). You could drive there, or you can walk across the impressive Barmouth Bridge, and when you arrive, you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly eateries.
