Set tails wagging with an adventure just outside Bedale, North Yorkshire. You’ll be surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and national parks: this is a real hikers’ paradise. The property itself is a cute stone cottage which has room for a small family and their loyal canine companion.
Step into the cottage and leave your boots on the porch. The ground floor is mostly taken up by a spacious lounge/diner, a lovely airy space that honours the building’s history with exposed beams and a multifuel wood burner. There’s also a kitchenette. Head upstairs for the two bedrooms, a double and a single, both simply decorated and wonderfully comfortable. You’ll have a family bathroom with a shower and a bath, so you can enjoy a deep soak after a long walk. The property has a garden, enclosed by a wall and accessed by a shared path. You’ll need to accompany your dog there, and when you arrive, it’s a lovely spot with a dining area, and contrasting gravel and shrubs.
You’ll have plenty of options for walking, cycling and exploring the natural wonders of Yorkshire. Highlights include Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 17.5 miles, North York Moors National Park, 22 miles, and Yorkshire Dales National Park, 10 miles, so every day you can put your best paw forward.
