Have a ball in Appledore, Cornwall, with your partner and puppies. You’ll be staying in a former fishing cottage, close to an estuary and the sea. There are plenty of beautiful places to explore, and then you can return to a cosy place for romantic meals with your loved one.
Enter the property to find a combined living area. Most of the space is taken up by the lounge, where comfortable sofas huddle around a wood burner-effect electric fire, and on the other end, there’s a kitchenette split in two with a fold-out dining table. The whole cottage is tastefully renovated throughout with a modern coastal theme. At the end of the evening, head upstairs for the king-size bedroom. It’s a comfortable place where you’ll get plenty of rest and wake feeling refreshed. There’s a spacious vanity shower room with WC and vaulted celiing. This property doesn’t have a private garden, but there is a shared courtyard with seating: the perfect spot for breakfast on a sunny morning.
Appledore is a charming village with a gorgeous, timeless atmosphere. Take your partner’s hand and the dogs’ leashes and walk to Grey Sands, the bank of the river (2 miles) or visit Westward Ho! Beach (2.5 miles), which is partially dog friendly. Tapeley Park Gardens (2 miles) is also lovely, and you can amble around the gardens, do a house tour or grab a slice of cake (and a dog treat) at the cafe. Dogs are welcome everywhere. The village itself has a few dog-friendly pubs and cafes if you’d like a hearty meal out.
