Set tails wagging with a family holiday to Little Petherick, in North Cornwall. This beautiful stone cottage would make an ideal base for a small group and their faithful canine. The property has charming details and a lovely garden, and it’s set in an area full of natural beauty and coastal delights.

Enter the property through a porch, where there’s space to store outdoor gear – and some seats, if you have to wait for everyone to get ready! Keep walking to find the kitchen, which is full of modern appliances, including a coffee machine so you can start your day with a tasty treat. The ground floor is completed with an airy lounge/diner with a wood burner and an ornamental fireplace. It’s simply decorated, and pretty. The staircase is located at the back of the room. Upstairs, you’ll have two bedrooms, one double and a twin with another ornamental fireplace, plus a dressing room which connects to the family bathroom. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath. You’ll have two outdoor areas: a patio with a table out the front, and a rear garden, enclosed by a wooden fence, so your dog and children can play.

Little Petherick is a quiet village, so it’s nice and relaxing, and if you’d like the bustle of a larger town, Padstow is only 3 miles away. Here, you can find plenty of things to entertain everyone, including dog-friendly boat tours where you might see dolphins, puffins, seals and much more! Take a trip to Trevone Bay, 3.5 miles, for a dog-friendly beach which is also great for surfing. Finish off with a walk around St Breock Downs, 6 miles.

  • Property not suitable if carrying a baby buggy as steps are steep and the road at the bottom is quite busy
  • There is also a pretty village restaurant in Little Petherick and also a historic church, built around the 14th century
  • There is a Ring doorbell in operation at this property so an owner maybe able to view guests entering and leaving the property (can be disconnected upon request)
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00

A very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. The location was perfect for all the beaches. Access to the property along a road with no pavement was dangerous

The property itself is lovely. Extremely clean and well presented, with really comfy beds. The board games and other finishing touches were especially lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location as a base for exploring the local towns and beaches.

2, Rock Cottages has been our home away from home for 3 years running now! My daughter (5 years old), husband and I just love coming to stay. Little Petherick is brilliantly situated for fantastic beaches, nearby towns such as Padstow and has lots of accessible attractions for all ages, whilst being nice and quiet at night for a good night's rest. Read moreThe cottage is just perfect for children in infants, juniors and senior school. My haven is the bench out front that is the perfect place to enjoy sunsets and my daughter likes to have tea parties on the small lawn with her toys. The little courtyard out the back is a haven for my hubby to read or it could be for teenagers to have their own little space away from parents. The extra little room that leads to the bathroom is perfect for dressing and storing extra belongings that you might need and allows the bedrooms to be a true place to relax. I love that there are games to play and the wifi is excellent for multiple devices. It has all the amenities you need and a lot of little extra touches. This is such a wonderful place, we will be returning next year for the fourth time. We find new and exciting things to do, all within 15-40 mins of the cottage, every year. Hide
