This lovely old farmhouse is cosy and relaxing, with beautiful exposed brickwork and traditional latched wooden doors. Families and friends will enjoy a tranquil escape to the Welsh countryside, within easy reach of shops, restaurants, walks and beaches.
Well equipped, comfortable and with masses of character, this detached property has lovely details throughout. Enter through the porch, where you can hang up your lead and take off your muddy boots, or via the side entrance which leads to a shower room and a utility room. The spacious kitchen/diner is well-planned for easily preparing holiday meals and, afterwards, you can head for either the lounge with a TV and a wood burner, or the snug where there’s a small TV and also a sofa bed. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where there are three pretty bedrooms, a double, a twin and a bunk bedroom, all with fabulous rural views. On this floor, there’s also a family bathroom. For fresh air and al fresco meals, the generously sized garden has a lawn, a paved area and a picnic bench, from where you can relish the far-reaching views.
The cottage is 4 miles from the historic market town of Denbigh, where there are shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, medieval buildings and a castle to explore. The Llyn Brenig reservoir and visitor centre, 6 miles, offers more than 2,500 acres of forest, moorland and lakes, and a cafe with a balcony where Fido is welcome. Ruthin, 11 miles, is well known for its craft centre as well as a Victorian gaol and a variety of independent shops while, for a day at the seaside, the beaches of North Wales – including Prestatyn and Rhyl – are less than 20 miles away.
