Excellent location for seeing the local area. The Red Lion pub is dog friendly, welcoming and a short walk from the house but there is no noise disturbance. Welcome pack is a bottle of wine. Good fish and chip shop at Crown Point, just minutes away. Fairly spacious house.

This is lovely cottage in a perfect location. For walking with our dog .. Please let the people know well before that it is not really dog friendly. I chose it because it said dog friendly , and also paid extra to allow my dog Into the house everywhere , To get there to find a note attached to the stair gate at the bottom of stairs strictly no doRead moregs upstairs please. Of course I obviously did this . Then my husband and I took it in turn to sleep on the sofa as my dog at home sleeps at the bottom of my bed in his bed . So it was a little disappointing. Hide

Lots of great thing about this place. Cosy, clean, great bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, games, books. Would recommend. Would be good if the en suite shower could be adjusted to work better, but all the rest was ideal.

We were only 4 adults and a 7yo so lots of room. One bedroom not used. But it would be quite big enough at full occupacity. Pub 20 yards across the road good food. Need to travel out to venues for the day.

The cottage is truly a home from home. The kitchen is well equipped. Having experience of staying in other holiday homes I had bought equipment from home, unnecessarily it turned out, as everything was provided. We had a very happy family Christmas at Sparrows Nest.

We enjoyed our week at Sparrows Nest as it was near all the places we wanted to visit. The house gave us a very comfortable base to stay in and was near a good pub, The Red Lion. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well equipped.
