Set within two acres of private gardens and woodland, this former farmhouse offers a fantastic escape to the coast. Providing ample accommodation for up to seven guests and welcoming one beloved pup, it’s ideal for a family-friendly break or a getaway with friends. Embrace morning walkies along the unspoilt Waxham beach, and return here for a hearty breakfast on the patio in the salty sea air. Surrounded by idyllic Norfolk countryside, this family-friendly property offers oodles of space for socialising and relaxing, inside and out.

Decorated in a classic, country style, take your pick of comfy seating for a post-walkies afternoon snooze, with a large, refurbished lounge with oak flooring and underfloor heating, a cosy snug and a light-filled lounge/diner all offering abundant deep sofas. Keen cooks will love preparing home-cooked meals in the large country kitchen, while meals can be enjoyed inside or out, with a formal dining room, a breakfast table in the kitchen, and a garden table and large gas BBQ on the patio. Make the most of warm weather by escaping to the mature garden with your current read, while the children play on the lawn with their furry friend. Keep your binoculars to hand with wildlife frequenting the garden and surrounds, or look up at night to stargaze in the uninterrupted night’s sky. Four bedrooms invite a restful night’s sleep, some with flexible sleeping arrangements, while a family bathroom, a downstairs shower room and a separate WC take care of all practicalities.

Guests have access to a permissible path leading them directly to the beach and coastal path. Dog friendly year round, Waxham beach is frequented by seals and their pups at certain times of year, so it’s wise to keep Fido on a lead around wildlife. Set tails wagging with abundant walkies opportunities, including a lovely stroll to nearby Horsey Windpump (2.5 miles) and numerous nature trails and cycle routes along the waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

The photos on this website do not do the house justice. The house is beautiful and the gardens are stunning. The welcome package was a lovely and the chocolate cake was to die for. We will definitely go back and I highly recommend this farmhouse to others.

Poplar Farm house is a superb holiday accommodation. Beautifully laid out and exceptionally well equipped, with an extremely large garden to relax in. Fantastic location for the coast and the Broads. Louise and Martin were also wonderful hosts. All in all, one of the best holiday homes we've ever stayed in
