During the day, head off to hike the riverside trails at Loggerheads Country Park; and in the evening, come home to the cottage’s private courtyard to take a relaxing dip in the hot tub.

Step inside and you’ll find a light and spacious open-plan split-level kitchen/lounge bathed in natural light. Take a moment to relax on the sofa while you soak up the stylish ambience and chic décor, and when it’s time to eat, head to the sleek kitchen area to whip up a romantic dinner for two. Enjoy a cosy meal at the breakfast bar, or head out to the private courtyard and dine alfresco while your pup enjoys exploring the enclosed garden. If you are looking for adventure, you and your pup will appreciate a rewarding hike to the top of Moel Famau (3.5 miles) - the highest peak in the Clwydian Range. The panoramic views over the Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are amazing. Alternatively, explore the Medieval ruins of Ewloe Castle (12.5 miles), or take a leisurely stroll along Wepre Brook (11 miles).

The cottage was beautiful with fabulous views across the hills. It was decorated for Christmas. We had everything we needed in the cottage. The hot tub was one of the best we had tried.

Even in mid winter, a really beautiful property and location. The owners make a big effort to ensure you have all you need and check on the hot tub daily ( ensuring they don't interfere with usage or cause disturbance ). Located ideally for visiting many of the lovely towns, villages and sights along the north Wales coast.

This is a fantastic property that was impeccably maintained. Great base to explore north wales. Cant walk to anything so car needed to get to local pubs or restaurants. Highly recommended, host quick to reply when asked.

This is an amazing place to stay! We've struggled in the past to find somewhere secluded and enclosed for our nervous dog, but this ticked all the boxes! It even has private woodlands and fields to walk in before heading out for the day. Everything was extremely clean, including the hot tub! Welcome basket was a lovely touch. Great walks nearby. Piw Gwyn Cottage is a hidden gem! The cottage is beautiful, set in a tranquil location. We had a peaceful and much needed relaxing week long stay.
