Cosy and charming, this lovely cottage on the Northumberland coast is a great place to retreat with friends, family and your four-pawed pal. Humans and hounds will love the warmth from the woodburner in the living room after a day out on an adventure at Seahouses Beach (14 miles).

Traditionally built, this beautiful cottage has a large living room area decorated in a neutral colour palette for a relaxing ambience. Sumptuous leather sofas and a feature fireplace ensure complete comfort, with plenty of space for your pup to curl up at your feet for a snooze. The dining table can also be found here for family mealtimes. Next door, the kitchen has additional seating at the breakfast bar, with everything you’ll need to get creative with cooking whilst on holiday. Completing the downstairs layout is a modern bathroom with an overhead shower. Upstairs, the double bedroom features dual aspect windows and a comfortable bed, whilst the twin is perfectly suited to children. Outside, there are areas to sit at both the front and the rear, with a bench for bird watching, and a patio with a table and chairs where you can enjoy a meal outside in the sunshine.

The walkies in this area are fantastic, from trips along the coast path, accessible from Seahouses to climbing to the heights of Humbleton Hill (7 miles) for rugged, rural scenery. For a spot of history, head to Bamburgh Castle to sniff out the past and gaze in awe at the natural beauty of the area before heading into Bamburgh for a bite to eat in one of the dog-friendly pubs and restaurants locally.

This is a fabulous cottage in the heart of Chatton. Easy drive to A1 and coast. Lots of fabulous walking in the area. Both the village shop and pub are a huge bonus.
