Two sumptuous sofas offer plenty of space for all the family, as well as an armchair, whilst the dining table is a perfect spot to gather together for mealtimes. The kitchen is located on the ground floor, equipped with everything you’ll need to fix up a feast. Two of the three bedrooms are also found on this floor, one a stylish room with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, and the other a tasteful double bedroom. Completing the sleeping arrangements is a twin bedroom on the upper floor, which is elegantly designed to be suitable for adults and children and paired with an en-suite shower room.

Pack a picnic and let your dog lead the way to adventure with a trip to Buxton Country Park (1 mile) to discover woodland, wildflower meadows and hilltop views, ensuring something to please those on four legs as well as two. The spa town of Buxton also lies just over a mile away, filled with interesting architecture, as well as a number of eateries welcoming four-legged friends to come and join you for a treat at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I can only reiterate what previous reviews have stated. The cottage is comfortable and furnished nicely, 10 minute walk to the town centre but let down by some fixable issues - bathrooms need mould removing, downstairs double bedroom needs some hooks to hang clothes up, patio area needs weeding, no instructions on where rubbish goes or bin day, kitRead morechen needs some form of heating, visitor book for people to leave suggestions on where to go/eat etc would be nice. We found the Old Sun Inn lovely for food and drink and had an excellent indian takeaway from Buxton Tandoori, visited Bakewell and Matlock and Pooles Cavern. Teggs Nose Country Park has some lovely walks and views over Cheshire. Hide

Needs small table in kitchen and hooks behind bedroom doors and entry room. Mould on upstairs bathroom windowsill. Weeds on patio. No recycling/ rubbish info. No tel. no. for Mr Kay. Nicely decorated but let down by little things.

The cottage was a large property with a closed back yard, great for the dogs. The kitchen area was freezing with insufficient utensils. All but the downstairs shower had very weak water flows and on the stairs there was a gripper spike poking through which resulted in a foot injury whilst there. However the location and large parking area and greaRead moret Wifi connection were all good positives as was the downstairs utility room area for sorting the dogs out prior to coming back into the main areas of the property. when we arrived it hadnt been cleaned however after contacting the agents they sent a cleaner within an hour so that really want an issue more of an inconvenience, by the time the cleaner arrived I had already cleaned the kitchen, however the crockery and cutlery were in need of a good clean. There wasn't a dishwasher which would have made it so muRead morech easier. The wet room is in need of a thorough soak and deep deep clean, black tiles etc etc - not pleasant. The double bedroom has no storage at all. Outside is scruffy. When spending so much on a property you expect a bit more than we received. Hide

The cottage was in a great location and good size for 6 adults, 3 couples. The kitchen had most things we needed but was very cold in there. I would suggest a radiator or if not definitely a blind or curtain at the door. The property was clean in general but the wet room in the main bedroom needed a good clean and the bed in there is very rickety. Read moreI did think the property may have had a Christmas tree as we stayed from the 15th-18th December but never mind. Overall we had a lovely break away and the issues mentioned did not spoil our stay. Hide

Great location - a 10 minute walk into the town. The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay and passed the nights away around the large dining table. Thanks.

Would just like to say that we had to unclog the drain for the shower in the wet room. Secondly having a small table & chairs in the kitchen as walking up and downstairs between kitchen and somewhere to sit was a bit of a problem sometimes.

Lovely, spacious accommodation. Some equipment broken such as kitchen bin. Washing machine really loud and shakes a lot. Couldnt access dispenser drawer as machine was too far back under work top. Wet room created mini flood with every use, as drain not very efficient. Minor points really, as overall the accommodation suited our needs well and thosRead moree of our dog too! Lovely furnishings and decor. Kitchen could do with somewhere to sit as other reviewers have previously stated. I would suggest a butchers trolley island with stools would fit the space well as there is a pillar in middle of room which makes a kitchen table more difficult. Hide
