Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this four-storey former fisherman’s cottage in the coastal town of Ramsgate. Sleeping six people across four bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, this period cottage is the perfect place for families or groups of friends who want a explore the Kent coast with their pups in tow. During the day, take your dogs for walkies along the Royal Harbour, which has a thriving yachting community as well as plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. In the evening, come home to this stylish cottage, grab a drink and make your way to the small courtyard to relax under the stars.

Step inside and you’ll discover a charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Slip onto a sofa to make yourself at home in the inviting living area before heading to the sleek kitchen to cook dinner for your loved ones. The lounge and the kitchen areas are separated by a breakfast bar where you can all eat together. After dinner, gather everyone in the living area and relax in front of your favourite TV show while your pups snooze at your feet. At the end of the day, you’ll find two bedrooms on the first floor – a double and a single – as well as one king-size on the second floor and one king-size on the lower-ground floor. Please note that the cottage-style staircases are steep and narrow.

Pack up a picnic and spend the day at Dumpton Gap Beach (2.5 miles), which welcomes dogs all year round. There’s also a wide promenade there that takes you 0.5 miles along the coast to Louisa Bay. Alternatively, go for walkies at Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve (3 miles) to stroll through the wetlands and salt marshes.

Great location, beautifully clean, well equipped, unfortunately a bit to cramped for 6 Adults, not enough seating in lounge/ room to to get by in the kitchen. The bathrooms were great and so was the hot water/ heating, stairs as mentioned are steep so care needs to be taken on them, but the stairs gates were a welcome addition.
