Beautifully presented to a very high standard, this quaint and charming cottage forms the perfect space for a family or group of friends to explore this scenic area of Northumberland. Located in the riverside village of Warkworth, this peaceful property offers something for everyone, including proximity to popular seaside towns and the breathtaking views from the 62-mile Northumberland Coast Path.
Surrounded by open fields and a working farm close by, this rural stay couldn’t be further from the hustle and bustle of city life. Step inside this rustic sanctuary to find a beautifully tiled floor leading you to the social hub of the home, the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas to play a board game while your pups doze in front of the exposed brick fireplace. The wood burner certainly sets a cosy atmosphere, while the kitchen spaces invites you to whip up a storm from local produce. Upstairs, snuggle into one of two bright and airy bedrooms; a king-size with magnificent views of the neighbouring fields, and an elegant twin room with a zip-and-link bed which can be cleverly turned into a king-size on request. Take your furry pals out to stretch their legs in the morning and enjoy your morning caffeine in the perfectly enclosed lawned front garden, where al fresco dining is also encouraged.
Take your contented canines with you to explore Warkworth and its never-ending number of walkies. Encircling the village is the River Coquet, which is dominated by the magnificent medieval castle and 12th-century church, as well as a sandy stretch of shoreline. Race along the coast, chasing the ball or catching a stick and when the energy peaks, head over to one of the dog-friendly eateries to try a generous portion of fish and chips - and a few for the pups! After you’ve filled your tummies, finish the day by wandering along the riverbank to get a glimpse of red squirrels, deer and possibly a few otters.
