You pup pal will love striding about this splendid, dog-friendly country house in the charming village of Folly, close to Camrose in West Wales. Set in beautiful gardens, the generously sized, four-bedroom retreat is 5 miles from Haverfordwest and sleeps eight human guests. Set just 6 miles from the beach at Newgale, with swathes of sand where pups are welcome all year round, it is also ideal for anyone eager to walk the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Give wet fur a good rub down before letting your dog in via the entrance hall, where you’ll also find a door onto a cloakroom WC. Head on through to the kitchen/diner to make dinner for the group. Pull a bottle of wine from a chiller then serve up to the human members of your party at the table. Take Rex through to the lounge with you, where he can stretch out in front of the open fire, or into the conservatory to doze as you take in the country views. Another lounge can be found up on the first floor, a great second space to unwind with a Smart TV and doors onto a balcony. The four bedrooms are also on the first floor. Choose between a super-king room with a TV and a lovely en-suite shower room, two rooms with king beds, and a twin with 2”6’ zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as a king if discussed in advance. There’s also a delightful family bathroom on this floor. Guests can also request an extra folding single bed for a child. Let the dog run about as much as he wishes in the sizeable garden, while you fire up the BBQ and admire the views.
Find an array of footpaths in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park that the pup will simply adore. Take him to Scolton Manor and Country Park, 6 miles away, where he can trot beside you on paths around the house and through the woods.
