Set in the tranquil Norfolk village of Swanton Abbott, this property oozes charm, elegance and sophistication, and offers oodles of space inside and out. After blissful days filled with coastal walks, countryside strolls and ambling around country houses, return here to rest and recharge in the open-plan living space or snuggle around the fire pit in the magical little garden.

Put your best paw forward as you step inside this property, where you’ll be greeted with a warm, homely atmosphere and an impressive feeling of spaciousness. With picture windows running along one side of the building, high ceilings and skylights, the main living area has a definite wow factor. This thoughtfully designed, open space incorporates a relaxing lounge, a smart, fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a dining table. There’s even a corner desk should you need to do some work while on holiday, or even just sit to write a few postcards. The space continues outside with a small pond and a couple of seating areas. When bedtime calls, get cosy under the covers of the elegant super-king-size bed, then savour a refreshing morning shower before heading out for new adventures the following day.

Clip on your pups’ leads and set out to explore the surrounds or hop in a car to the market town of North Walsham (4.5 miles) to top up on supplies or sniff out adventure in Bacton Wood. Cultured canines can accompany their owners around the park and woods at Blickling Hall (6.5 miles), while beach-loving pups will go mutts on the golden sands of Walcott Beach (10 miles). The waterways, nature trails and walkways of the Norfolk Broads begin around 5 miles away.

We found the cottage easily using the directions given and immediately loved it on entering. There is so much space and very comfortable with a huge TV! There was everything that we needed - and more - especially in the kitchen and the welcome pack was very gratefully received. The wireless phone chargers in the bedroom are a nice touch and the Read morebed was very big and very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer as it is a perfect base for all the area has to offer - walks/beaches/market towns/lovely pubs (take a trip out the Gunton Arms if you can - lovely location and excellent food). All in all a fantastic long weekend in North Norfolk in a fantastic cottage. Hide

A lovely property in a great location. Nice surprise of a welcome pack on arrival and lovely addition if dog blankets and bowls for our dog. Very well equipped and very cosy. Good location to get to all areas in North of Nolfolk. Would love to come back again.

A beautiful, well equipped cottage in a good location for visiting both coast and countryside. The standard of furnishings is high and the owner has thought about everything you might need during your stay. We had a very relaxing week there and would like to return.

I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Excellent location for exploring North Norfolk. Beautifully furnished, well appointed kitchen and dining area, super kingsize bed, lots of storage in the bedroom and the bathroom was spacious too. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely be returning. Welcome pack much appreciated.

Very spacious and well appointed property. There was nothing we didn't like about it. Nice central location for all the local tourist attractions. A few nice walks just around the corner to walk our dog. We could quite happily live there full time :-)

The property on arrival was extremely clean and the amenities excellent. It was like a home from home and although we took with us the basic things like tea, milk etc we found a lovely welcome pack to enjoy including tea, wine, milk, biscuits, jam, juice (all of a high quality). The electrical appliances were in tip top working order and the furniRead moreture was comfortable and of good standard. The village was small, no shops or pub but it was close enough to get to lovely dog friendly beaches and busier towns. If you wanted a peaceful and quiet location to chill out, this was exactly that and we would love to visit it again in the future. (visited August 2023) Hide

Fantastic to have Saturday to Saturday booking as travelling on a Friday is horrendous. Also the property was brilliant for us and our 2 dogs ?? ??
