Stylish and comfortable, this gorgeous apartment just for two (plus your four-legged friend) is a romantic retreat in the Cornish sailing town of Fowey. Pubs, shops and places to eat are all close by, as are a sandy beach and a variety of scenic walks.

 

Enter via a gently sloping ramp and into this welcoming home from home. The open-plan living space has a sleek fitted kitchen in one corner, equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare hearty breakfasts and cosy suppers, and the seating is arranged so you can see the Smart TV and look out towards the pretty garden. In the hallway you’ll find a chest of drawers for storing clothes and a utility cupboard with a washing machine. The bedroom is decorated in calm, neutral colours and has a king-sized bed as well as a large wardrobe. The bright, fresh bathroom is the finishing touch, with pretty tiling and a shower over the bath. When your pup wants a breath of fresh air, you can access your private courtyard by stepping through the glazed doors in the lounge and into an oasis of interesting planting, a glorious space in which to enjoy a morning coffee, a sundowner or an evening meal.

 

The apartment is located on the edge of town, just 100m from the ferry that crosses the river to Bodinnick. From here you can complete the popular 4-mile Hall Walk, returning to Fowey via the passenger ferry from Polruan. Spend some time wandering among the town’s beautiful streets, admiring the chic boutique shops and art galleries and trying the variety of quality cafes and restaurants, or enjoy a walk at Readymoney Cove (1 mile) - your hound is welcome before 10am or after 6pm in July and August, and otherwise at any time.

Wonderful apartment, great location, has everything you need plus many thoughtful extras. The courtyard was perfect for our pooch and for spending a while in a calm and lovely space. We can highly recommend Sail Away.

From the moment we walked in we knew wed enjoy our week. Brilliant for us and the dog. And brilliant for anyone with mobility issues. Al fresco dining was perfect in the courtyard.

Spacious flat, well laid out and quiet. Has its own garden which is a real bonus. Comfy and clean its very convenient to go into Fowey or use the Bodinnick ferry. Good parking nearby.

The property was lovely, perfect location. The only negative comment is the table in the court yard wasnt cleaned prior to us arriving so didnt sit outside. Also, the property was well equipped, with hairdryer, iron, dog leads and bowls, camping chairs and a pop up tent, none of which is on the details for the property, which I think you should iRead morenclude as it will save people packing some of those items to take! We had a lovely break and works certainly recommend. Hide
