Property code: OC-BUTCUP

This quaint and cosy cottage is nestled in the heart of Penrose, a popular Cornish village with many paths to explore by foot, bike or even horseback! Gather six guests, including two four-legged friends, and while away the hours bathing on the beach, seeing the sights or catching up with your visitors.

Head into this beautifully modern cottage, and store your muddy boots and doggo leads in the handy utility. On entry to the lounge/diner, pillowy sofas invite you to relax with a glass of bubbles with the backing of endless chatter as you decide on tomorrow''s plans. On days when you choose to dine at home, the kitchen is filled with everything you need for a self-catering stay, including an adjoining four-seater table and a casual breakfast bar. Pups will enjoy roaming the enclosed lawn, surrounded by stunning farmland featuring the odd cow, horse and sheep. When it''s time to hit the hay, say good night to your canine chums and make your way to three bedrooms: a cosy twin and two king-size rooms where one has an en-suite shower room. In the morning, the dogs can burn off steam on the lawn while you make freshly percolated coffee from the machine and sip it in the garden.

The cottage has plenty of places to visit nearby, starting with the sandy bay of Porthcothan Bay (3 miles), where you will find all-year-round availability for your precious pooches and golden sands on which to chase sticks. Other sandy hotspots include Mawgan Porth (3.5 miles) and Watergate Bay (5.5 miles). Journey to the harbour town of Padstow for a doggy day out; the winding streets, bustling harbour and long list of attractive eateries have made this town a popular hub for visitors.

If we had researched the local area and known just how small the roads were we may not have chosen this cottage. However, we got used to them after a couple of days and it was easy enough to get to the loveliest beaches we've ever seen! The cottage itself was beautiful, and plenty spacious enough for 6 adults and a dog.

We had a lovely holiday here. Cottage was very clean and modern and comfortable. The only things that would have improved it was a bit more attention to safety e.g. the upstairs windows had no child safety catch (which in the twin bedroom where children are likely to sleep seems an oversight). There were also no oven gloves present which led to myRead more husband burning his hand whilst trying to retrieve dinner from the oven. Also some feedback -the welcome bundle (which was very nice) had coffee, but the property had no cafetiere to brew it in, and there was also tea provided but no teapot. For a week's stay in which we had paid a lot of money for the cottage, it would also have been nice to be provided more loo roll - 3 rolls isn't very generous for 7 people for a week. Aside from these things, the property was well equipped. Hide
