Property code: OC-NB1997

A cosy yet quirky retreat, nestled in the historic riverside village of Warkworth. Ideally situated for uncovering far-reaching countryside and moorland, settle in this single-storey holiday home for a fun and relaxing break with all the family.

Enter your impressive ground-floor holiday home to find interesting decor and a high-quality finish throughout. The open-plan living area is bright and airy thanks to the patio doors leading into the extremely spacious, enclosed garden. Charming seating, wooden floors and a TV invite you and your canine companions to make yourselves at home, while Rover and Rex find the ultimate dozing spot. Slick kitchen units welcome you to rustle up a feast for family and friends, while a central island is perfect for clinking glasses to your holiday. One of your three bedrooms offers a super-king-size bed and benefits from more patio doors and is topped off with a chic en-suite bathroom with a copper bathtub - great for evenings that need bubbles. Two more bedrooms, a super-king-size and a twin, both boast en-suite shower rooms. The highlight of the home is the outdoor space, which Rover and Rex will use in abundance. The south-facing garden covers a third of an acre and children can safely play in the wooded area with a swing. Adults who want to try their hand at mixology can do so with the detached garden room set up with an outdoor bar, accompanying furniture and a dartboard. There’s plenty to do at this property!

If you can tear yourself away from this eccentric home, the pretty village is less than half a mile away, where local produce can be picked up and artisan finds can be bought. When the pups need to stretch their legs, pick up the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just 1.5 miles from the cottage. Take your furry friends with you to follow as much as their little legs can manage. The 62-mile route passes many sweeping beaches, dramatic castles, and attractive coastal villages with lots of places for happy hounds to stop for refreshments and for humans to top up on afternoon teas.

The property was as advertised, very well equipped and extremely comfortable, the beds in particular. Although adjacent to a main road, the noise was minimal, and the proximity to the lovely village of Warkworth is ideal, being just that little removed.
