Located in the tranquil hamlet of Pengroeslon at the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula, this welcoming cottage offers cosy and comfy accommodation equidistant (around 3 miles) from the north and south coasts. Much of the peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty thanks to its rugged coastlines and wildlife-rich heathlands, so look forward to long, satisfying walks your pet will adore. In the evenings, you can enjoy peaceful nights in and restorative rest in this quiet location. This detached holiday home has room for four people and one canine guest, so is ideal for a couple or a small family keen for a Welsh break with their pet in tow.
With original exposed beams, vaulted ceiling and thick stone walls, this accommodation has a quaint cottage feel that’ll make you feel right at home. Within the lovely inglenook fireplace, there’s a wood burner where Fido can warm up as you relax on the sofa nearby. The property is mostly arranged on one floor, with a single bedroom in the loft that’s accessible up a flight of stairs from the living area. In the enclosed garden, your pet can run free on the lawn while you lap up the wide-reaching views, perhaps sitting at the table enjoying a snack and a cool drink.
When it’s time to venture out and about, bundle into the car and head 2.5 miles north to the dog-friendly Penllech Beach, a glorious sandy bay backed by sloping, grassy cliffs. From here you could walk 2 miles along the pretty coastal path to the dog-friendly Porth Ysgaden Beach which, west-facing, is perfect for watching the sunset. On the south coast, the coastal villages of Abersoch and Llanbedrog (both 8 miles) are well worth sniffing out with your pet.
