With shops, pubs and restaurants all close at hand, not to mention a gorgeous sandy beach, this charming home is in the heart of the action. It’s a great choice for couples, friends or families, whether you want to spend all your time in Saundersfoot or venture further afield and explore the delights of wider Pembrokeshire.
This postcard-pretty, mid-terrace cottage is just as pretty inside as it is outside. In the cosy lounge you can relax in front of the Smart TV on either the comfortable sofas or the rocking chair. The airy kitchen is an easy space for cooking, and from here it’s three steps down to the open-plan dining space, which has a TV for extra entertainment. On this level you’ll also find a single bedroom (with a stowaway bed beneath) boasting an en-suite shower room. Upstairs, meanwhile, are the remaining three bedrooms: a king-size with a large en-suite bathroom, a twin and another single, plus a family bathroom. For balmy days and warm evenings, choose from two places to drink, dine or simply sit and enjoy the fresh air: a patio at the front of the house or the lawn at the back, both safely enclosed for children and hounds to play.
Charming Saundersfoot has a growing gastronomic reputation, and many of its eateries are happy to welcome well-behaved hounds. That said, for most visitors its biggest draw is its wide, golden beach where, as well as swimming and building sandcastles, you can also try your hand at water sports. A section of the beach is open for furry friends all year, or you can take your pup, at low tide, to Glen Beach, accessed from a ramp on the harbour. If you have youngsters in your group, don’t miss dog-friendly Heatherton World of Activities, 4 miles.
