Rest and reset in this characterful cottage in the Yorkshire Dales. The property sleeps three guests and one woofer and makes a lovely romantic retreat or base for a small family. Outdoor enthusiasts can set off along the Pennine Way to explore the surrounding countryside on foot and paw, or you can head to one of the nearby towns or villages to dine in a country pub or pick up local produce for your supper. In the evenings, snuggle by the wood burner in your cosy cottage.
The traditional railway cottage sits at the end of a quiet lane, surrounded by open countryside. Inside, discover a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, decorated in neutral tones. Relax on the comfortable sofas to watch the TV/DVD, whilst Rover snoozes by the wood burner. Rustle up tasty meals in the stylish kitchen area, to enjoy together around the cute table for three. Upstairs, you’ll find two tastefully decorated bedrooms, both of which enjoy rural views. Also on this floor is a large shower room. Outside, the rear garden is laid to lawn, with plenty of space for the hound to play whilst you admire the views of the Settle-Carlisle railway. There is also an enclosed area to the front, with a bistro set for relaxing with a tipple in the sunshine.
The area is a paradise for walkers and four-pawed explorers. The long-distance Pennine Way passes close to the cottage, and the Three Peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside are all within 20 miles of the property. You’ll also be within easy reach of some of the Dales’ most recognisable landmarks, including the gargantuan amphitheatre-shaped limestone cliff at Malham Cove (12.5 miles). The bustling market town of Settle is 8.5 miles away and has a great range of woof-friendly eateries and cosy pubs.
