Get the seaside feel from the moment you step through the door of this fresh and airy cottage, a wonderful destination for a family plus a four-pawed friend. It’s in a great location in Pendine, close to one of Wales’s longest sandy beaches and ideal for walkies along the coastal path.
Dog bowls ready and waiting for your canine companion are just one of the welcoming touches at this delightful getaway, which also include an Echo Show smart speaker in the smartly decorated kitchen/diner and a wood burner in the spacious lounge. After a day’s exploring, shake the sand out of your towels and relax on the comfortable sofas or perhaps play a game at the four-seater wooden dining table. At bedtime, head up the open-sided wooden staircase to the first floor, where the rooms have charming sloping ceilings, and you’ll find two bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a bunk-bed room that has use of an elegant bathroom. Fancy a lazy evening in the fresh air? Simply step out onto the front garden and enjoy the lawn and patio area with seating and a picnic bench.
The cottage is just half a mile from the 7-mile-long Pendine Beach, which is renowned for its land speed record history. While restrictions apply to part of the beach in the summer, there’s still plenty of room for hounds to leap in the sand and splash in the water. The village has a small choice of places to eat and drink, and Saundersfoot is just 8 miles away, now an up-and-coming gourmet destination with a lovely beach and a traditional seaside atmosphere. Buzzing Tenby is 15 miles, worth exploring for its historic cobbled streets, array of shops, three gorgeous beaches and yet more fabulous places to eat and drink.
