In spring and summer, you can also admire the fabulous orchids that are dotted throughout the quarry. The pretty market town of Wirksworth is 2.5 miles away. Wander through its narrow streets, admire the imposing stone buildings, and ride on the steam trains of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway.
