Bask in the sun out on the deck with your favourite furry friend when you stay at this elegant period house in East Cornwall’s Looe. Looking out over the harbour and the town, the three-storey property sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms and welcomes canine companions too. Have picnics on dog-friendly beaches, indulge in walks out along the beautiful coastline and plan days out to beauty spots where your cheerful chum is as welcome as you are.
Enter the property at ground-floor level and take your pup through to the kitchen/diner, which like the rest of this house is exquisitely decorated. Make yourself a cup of fresh coffee, serve him the fresh local cuts you have bought in town and then prepare a meal for everyone else to enjoy at the table or breakfast bar in here. The lounge is a delightful space to watch the Smart TV or to step out on to the terrace with your waggy-tailed friend to take in the views. A king-size bedroom, a twin and a beautiful bathroom, with claw-foot bath, can be found on both the first and second floors of the house. Outside, you’ll find a covered sun terrace and a further decked area, where you can take in the beautiful views while your canine companion has a sniff around.
Enjoy trips out to dog-friendly beaches to swim, surf and play on the sand. Plaidy Beach, 1 mile away, and Seaton, 5.5 miles away, both have no restrictions. Also plan a day trip to the National Trust’s scenic Lantic Bay, 9 miles away, a peaceful cove, perfect for puppy paddling. Take your pal on a 5.5-mile walk along the coast from Looe to Polperro, hopping on to a bus that welcomes four-legged passengers to return home.
