A well equipped, well built and maintained, plus lovingly presented holiday cottage in a heavenly coastal and remote location. Our second visit - others have been back eight times - which says it all.

A wonderful holiday cottage in a superb setting with sea views. Very quiet and tranquil. The cottage is well maintained and the owner has thought of everything to make you feel like home from home. Fabulous and spacious cottage with an amazing view across Roaring Water Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, visiting an area where my ancestors lived for many years. Our hosts were very hospitable and generous offering lots of information about the area. We will definitely come back to stay again.

Stone cottage feels remote... located at the end of narrow country lanes with an ever changing panorama of sea and sky... the only sounds being the wind, sea and birds... but it's only minutes to villages and towns. So perfectly located. The house is comfortable and really clean. The hosts are exceptional. Its a gem.

Helpful and friendly hosts who suggested local places to visit and were attentive to all our needs. The cottage was adequately equipped, and comfortable. Beneficially the accommodation is in an enviable position with views over Roaring Bay to watch the local wild life at a slower pace of life.

The cottage is in a lovely location and very peaceful down a narrow bumpy road. There is privacy with no other building in front of you but you access the property through the owners' property and farm. It is also worth considering that you are at least 15 to twenty minutes away from the main shops in Skibbereen as Balleydehob shops are somewhat Read morelimited. Recycling has to also to be taken to a site one mile outside Balleydehob and surprisingly costs several Euros entry and extra for whatever you have. Great hosts. We enjoyed talking with them and getting tips on where to shop and eat. The cottage is really nice, the beds comfortable and it was great to wake up in the morning to a beautiful view of the lake. You can even take an excellent walkabout from the cottage. Skibbereen has good restaurants and shopping but we didn't enjoy it due to theRead more narrow streets and construction downtown. Ballydehob is small and doesn't have much to offer. Our favourite was Schull, it has a car park on entrance to town, several good restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. One of our favourite things was charting a fishing boat at Bantry and deep sea fishing. We caught so many fish we left over half with the boat captain. A visit to Blarney Castle and Garden is well worth the trip to Cork. Warning you have to be in good health to climb the narrow spiral steps to kiss the Blarney Stone and the Garden is spectacular. My wife was behind me and had to push me up the narrow steps, she counted 109 steps. If you have claustrophobia don't do it. A great time was had and we are looking forward to our next visit with the hosts. Hide
