For a pup who loves getting his paws sandy, this coastal cottage is the perfect choice. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, it’s a great destination for a large family wanting to spend their days getting active outdoors. It is also within reach of friendly pubs and places to eat.
Follow the winding driveway to reach this single-storey property. Race your four-pawed pet inside to find bright rooms with large windows, many of which have gorgeous sea views. You’ll instantly be drawn to the lounge/diner, for example, where comfortable armchairs invite you to spend hours on end contemplating the waves. Prepare meals in the adjacent kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything the cook will need, and includes a breakfast bar for four, handy for that wake-me-up coffee. This is a great place to set down your mutt’s food and water bowls too. For dining together, return to the living space and its large table, and after supper, you can be entertained with some TV, switching on the coal-effect electric fire if you’re chilly. Settle your canine companion for the night (there’s plenty of room in the lounge for their bed) and head to the three bedrooms – two doubles and a room with three singles – which share a family wet room. Spend endless hours relaxing in the fresh sea air on the south-facing patio as your hound frolics on the grassy bank which slopes away in front of you. A picnic table is provided for you to enjoy al fresco drinks and dining.
The cottage is set just above the Wild Atlantic Way, overlooking the 4-mile-long Inch Strand Beach just 1 mile away – where dogs are welcome on a lead all year round. Spend energetic days walking, hiking and climbing in the Slieve Mish Mountains and Caherconree, both within 12 miles.
