We stayed ten days in this cottage in Carna. The location was fabulous, quiet, often visited by the local cows, near a beautiful sandy beach where we could swim in the cold Atlantic ocean. The owners of the cottage Mary and Patrick, lived close by and were very discreet but we had some good conversations with them and they made very useful recommenRead moredations. The surrounding areas, especially Connemara National Park, are worth the visit. At Rosaveel, not far away, we took the ferry to Inismore. We also went further afield to see the cliffs of Moher, followed by Loop Head, probably one of the best views we had. We were blessed with good sunny weather and very little rain. We particularly appreciated our visits to the small towns of Clifden and Roundstone. Altogether, a great trip, a comfortable cottage and a great Irish welcom. Go raibh maith agat!. Hide

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Easy walk down to Moyrus beach, which was lovely. Lots to see and do in the area. The hosts were friendly and helpful, available when we needed to contact them. The cottage felt like a proper "holiday cottage" - quite rustic and no smart decor, which was perfect - it added to the relaxing, homRead moreely atmosphere. It was nice and spacious for 3 of us and well-equipped, we felt that nothing we needed was missing. Wifi connection was good. Nice restaurant nearby recommended by host, Glynsk House, good food with great views. Overall, we had a lovely time there and would definitely return if we have the opportunity. Hide
