This charming cottage enjoys a peaceful setting on the outskirts of the village of Ardmore in West Waterford. The property welcomes four guests and one four-pawed hound and is the perfect base for families looking to get away from it all in stunning coastal surroundings. The coastline around Ardmore is dotted with idyllic, paw-friendly beaches, including the wild and remote Curragh Beach, just 100 metres away.

The picture-postcard thatched cottage is set on a quiet lane that leads down to the beach. Inside, you’ll find a traditional abode with homely touches and characterful original features. Spend quality time together in the delightful lounge/kitchen/diner, where a wooden table is nestled next to a cosy wood burner – the ideal spot for memorable mealtimes after a day of exploring. After dinner, stretch out on the sofa with the hound curled at your feet. The cottage has two inviting bedrooms – a double leading through to a compact bunk bedroom and the family bathroom. Outside, there’s a spacious lawn where Rover can play and a sunny seating area for enjoying a sundowner or an al fresco supper as you admire the view. The property offers private parking.

Lovely location but not very comfortable. Kitchen, living area very cramped. Some comfortable outdoor seating would be an improvement. Very small, very basic TV in the bedroom.

The thatched cottage is very attractive, in very good condition and in a very quiet area with lovely beaches in a short walk. We had lovely weather and sat outside on the lawn in the evenings. Thanks for providing a lovely cottage.
