You’ll be just 500 metres from a sandy beach to explore with the pup, and you’ll find further beaches and woodland walks in nearby Derrynane National Park (1 mile).

At its heart is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a tiled floor and large windows letting in plenty of natural light. Relax here after a busy day, preparing delicious feasts in the charming country kitchen area and sharing mealtimes around the wooden dining table. In the evenings, sink into a sumptuous sofa to watch TV whilst Rover stretches out in front of the open fire. The cottage has three inviting bedrooms, including a bunk bedroom that’s perfect for children. A refreshing family bathroom rounds off the accommodation. Outside, sip a morning coffee on the balcony as you plan your day and admire your spectacular surroundings. There is also a garden just off the kitchen, where your furry chum can stretch their legs. Caherdaniel is a bustling village with several paw-friendly places to eat. The scenic driving route, the Ring of Kerry, passes through the village, along with the long-distance Kerry Way. For a day at the seaside, head to Derrynane Beach (1 mile). This picture-postcard beach boasts white sands and turquoise waters, and welcomes four-pawed beach-goers all year. Keen anglers will enjoy a trip to Lough Currane (10 miles), and history enthusiasts can marvel at the ancient site at Staigue Stone Fort (6 miles).
