The south-facing cottage is bright and inviting, with neutral decor and simple styling. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen/diner for enjoying quality time with friends and family, testing out new recipes in the kitchen and sharing mealtimes around the large dining table. After dinner, get cosy in the lounge, with its plump sofas and wood-panelled ceiling. Unwind here, watching TV as the pup dozes in front of the wood burner. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, along with the family bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a family room with a double and a single bed. Outside, soak in your spectacular coastal surroundings from the enclosed garden, as you sip a sundowner or share an al fresco supper. There is private parking for two cars.
Roundstone is a pretty fishing village with a bustling harbour and a thriving arts and crafts scene. You’ll also find a good range of paw-friendly pubs and cafes within the village. The property is within easy reach of two of Ireland’s finest beaches – Gurteen and the aptly named Dog’s Bay (2.5 miles). Here, you and the hounds can stroll along the idyllic white sand and paddle in the turquoise waters. The vibrant town of Clifden, known as the ‘capital of Connemara’, is 10 miles away.
