Alternatively, head inland to the mountains of Eryri - Snowdonia National Park (14.5 miles) or take on the challenging gorge and river walk at Aberglaslyn National Trust (8 miles). For a different kind of adventure, head to the bustling town of Porthmadog (4 miles) and take a trip on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, or step back in time as you discover historic Criccieth Castle (4.5 miles).
