Escape the daily grind and stay with your family and four-legged friend in this delightful single-storey retreat in the heart of the quintessential village, Snape. Suiting four people and a pup, this beautiful home-from-home comes with plenty of room, outside and in, for canines to roam and burn off some energy.

This attractive property is a large family home, laid out across one level, and furnished with a contemporary coastal vibe. Return from the beach to a living room decorated in calming shades and put your feet up with the pup. Cook in the spacious shaker-style kitchen before feasting together in the bright conservatory space. When it’s time to turn in, say goodnight to your canine companion and head to one of two tastefully-furnished bedrooms; a welcoming double and a handy twin with a family bathroom down the hall. Once morning has rolled around, make a fresh pot of tea and kick back in the secluded patio area, where your four-legged pal can stretch their legs.

For those who enjoy dining out rather than eating in, the property has three pubs right on the doorstep boasting country-style fare and pints aplenty. Surrounded by routes for walking, your dog will adore exploring the vast Suffolk coastline with humans in tow. If you want to make the most of being at the coast, head 5 miles to the pebble-stretch of beach, Aldeburgh. This colourful coastal resort offers a beautiful promenade with fish and chips whilst taking in a gorgeous sea view. To sniff out more walkways in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, head to Snape Maltings, just moments from the cottage. Bring your shopping bags – you’ll find lots of galleries, eateries and local produce ready to pack the pantry for the rest of your stay.

Nice location; ideal for a couple; good access to The Maltings and local pubs. The bungalow has been spruced up nicely since our last visit, especially the bathroom. Well done

What a lovely bungalow. Spotlessly clean and tidy and welcoming. There was a lot of pillows though!

Lovely bungalow with a good sized enclosed garden and beautiful conservatory, perfect for benefiting from the late summer sun. Well equipped and comfortable throughout. Situated within east reach of much of the Suffolk coast. And dog friendly!

Lovely cottage, with one or two things we have drawn to the attention of the owners, who we know well. They assured us all the things we mentioned were under review or in hand. Our biggest draw back is the distance, over 300 miles, to travel to go again.

The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and the garden was secure for Fern (although a section of fencing was missing to one side, some "barricades" had been put up!). I've given a 2 for equipment because I feel the bungalow would benefit from more kitchen equipment. For example, a set of chopping knives - there was only one small veg knife anRead mored a knife for cutting bread (trying chopping cabbage with a bread knife!) - a cafetiere (I prefer this to the nespresso machine), a sieve, the cutlery was a bit cumbersome, etc. Also, there was no hairdryer (I've stayed in many self-catering properties and there's always been a hairdryer!). We did unfortunately break a cup while we were there but hopefully the money we left for a replacement was adequate. Hide
