Step out from this holiday home with your faithful friend to follow a section of the South West Coast Path through beautiful Cornwall. This four-bedroom hideaway at Trevone, which sleeps eight guests, sits within 20 metres of the long-distance route that follows the rugged, dramatic coastline. Also ideal for days out on dog-friendly beaches, the airy retreat with sea views has a garden that Fido will delight in bounding about.

Tear yourselves away from the coastal vistas and tempt your furry pal away from the lawned garden to let yourselves into this comfortable cottage. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea, top up the pup’s water bowl and start thinking about what to make everyone for dinner. Set the table in here by the window or outside on the sunshine, depending on the weather. Spend your evenings in the lounge with your four-legged friend, watching TV or playing games. Also at this level are a utility area, WC and family bathroom. Two double bedrooms and a twin are also on this floor. A king-size bedroom, with an en-suite shower room and sea views, is up on the first floor. The garden here is a simply superb space for relaxing in while your canine chum noses about.

Watch Fido’s tail wag when you set out on a 4-mile circular walk around the headland via Stepper Point. This takes in panoramic vistas over the Camel Estuary and Doom Bar, where local folklore has it that mermaids lure sailors into the sea. From October to mid-May, your four-legged friend can accompany you to Trevone Beach. You could also visit stunning Harlyn Bay, 2 miles away on foot or 3 miles by car, where your happy hound can chase across the sand and play in the waves whenever he likes.

One of the three toilets would not flush. The front panel of the dish washer came off which made it difficult for us to keep the door open when filling and emptying the dish washer. Although these two things were annoying we actually were very impressed with the property and the supplies provided. The housekeeper was particularly accessible and resRead moreponsive. She was unable to resolve the problems while we were there without further inconveniencing us. We understood the limitations of the issues.. The house was very well equipped, tastefully furnished and comfortable. The appearance of the house could be improved from the outside and the downstairs bathroom could be updated, but it didnt worry us. ( Except the separate loo needs repairing as already mentioned).Its position next to the beach with parking couldnt be better and the village of Trevone is very attractive in a great position between two very different beaches (sand and rock) with an excellent beach shop, cafe and bar and on the coastal path with great walks from the house. We have been very happy with Original Cottages. Its the second time we have used Original Cottages - the first time last year when we rented a property in Norfolk. Good service both times. Hide
