A beautifully converted granary in the rolling East Yorkshire Wolds offers a welcoming, dog-friendly holiday home for families or group of friends who want their pets to share the fun. The 200-year-old cottage sleeping four guests and two canine friends, is just 1 mile from the village of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. One of three properties on the owner’s farm, it has a superb, shared games room and is close to a network of peaceful country walks and cycle trails

This light-filled conversion is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style, with rich colours that enhance original features including fine roof beams and vaulted ceilings in all the main rooms. Double doors open onto the spacious open-plan living/kitchen/diner area, with comfortable sofas, and an integrated wood burner. You’ll find a convenient shower room on this floor. Outside, a beautiful, shared and enclosed courtyard garden with ample space for doggy pals to stretch their legs has seating beneath a pergola. A spacious shared games room houses a pool table, comfortable seating, a TV and a fridge, ideal for rainy days and nights in.

A short walk from the village, with its shops and pubs, is the magnificent, medieval parish church, with lovely, far-reaching views from the churchyard. The cottage is within 400 metres of the Bubwith Rail Trail, a level, 9-mile footpath and cycle route through gentle countryside for you and your furry friends to explore together. Visit the pretty town of Market Weighton (5 miles) and explore the narrow streets of historic York (18.5 miles). Fantastic location (approx 30mins drive to York and 1hr to the Coast/ Beach). A great pub 15mins walk from the property. The village also has a great butchers and bakers (sadly, no candlestick makers!). The fact that the Granary is on a small farm with dogs, horses, sheep and ducks was an added boon for our youngster!
