A peaceful country cottage with a sprawling shared lawn, ideally situated for sandy-pawed adventures along the East Devonshire coast. This contemporary retreat is perfect for small families or couples holidaying with up to two waggy-tailed companions. Admire the craggy rockface of the Jurrasic Coast as you bound along the clifftop trails on the Salcombe Hill Circular Walk (2 miles), then indulge in a leisurely evening spread in the lush garden.

This single-storey property features a fresh interior with cool neutral tones, ocean-inspired design details, and inviting social spaces. Towel off soggy fur with a fluffy towel before padding into the South-facing heart of the home. Sink onto the sleek leather sofa with a tipple or curl up on the armchair to thumb through a guidebook. Rustle up a post-adventure supper in the open-plan shaker kitchen and sneak some nibbles to your doe-eyed dogs. Top off glasses with a bottle of bubbly then feast around the handy fold-out dining table in the lounge. In warmer months, throw open the patio doors to dine al fresco with a peaceful country backdrop. Very nice accommodation awaited myself and my dog at Stoneleigh, it was easy to find, very clean, and all instructions were clear, plus a nice welcome in the firm of tea/coffee, milk, fudge and cookies.

The location was great but the property itself is in need of some TLC. There are holes patched and bodged with poly filler and not painted. Dvds on the shelf but no DVD player and no router or wifi.

There was no clear mention about the rental using coins for electricity. Also it was so cold in the rental that the bedding and towels felt damp! Other than that a lovely place to stay.

This holiday chalet is ideally located for the coastal path and right next door to the donkey sanctuary. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is a perfect base for walking and days out.
