In nearby Abersoch, while away an hour poking around the shops before heading to the sandy beach so the dog can stretch her legs. Lined with pretty beach huts and with views over Cardigan Bay, this a lovely spot for photos. Perhaps you’ll opt for some stand-up paddleboarding with your pet on board (though we doubt she’ll help with the paddling!). Further afield, you could head along the Wales Coast Path to nearby Llanbedrog (3 miles) which will present plenty of stick-throwing opportunities, or drive up to the north coast and visit the majestic Trefor sea stacks (16 miles), which are especially lovely at sunset.
