"A fantastic spacious deceptive property. Beautifully renovated to an exceptional high quality. Luxury fixtures, fittings, linens, towels etc. Location perfect. Looking forward to returning with other friends. Jubilee Cottage a Southwold gem". - Balbi Murrell
Coastal capers await at this three-bed cottage whose cute facade contains accommodation that’s nothing short of Tardis-like. Perfect for family breaks or a group of compatible friends, there’s also room for one VIP (very important pup) to make your holiday complete. Use this comfortable cottage as a base for exploring Southwold or enjoy the outdoors-indoors vibe at your home-from-home by throwing open the bi-fold doors from the kitchen/diner and French doors from the lounge onto the courtyard garden to enjoy the sea air and the best of both worlds!
This thoughtfully refurbished, traditional cottage offers bright and airy living. The spacious lounge has a deluxe feel with sofas, a cosy nook and a wood burner for cooler months. The kitchen/diner is flooded by light from above and the bi-fold doors next to the table. Prepare a seafood supper in the galley-style kitchen and dine inside with the doors open or at the table outside in the quaint courtyard. It’s both private and fully enclosed, so the dog can come and go. Upstairs, there’s the main en-suite king-size room and an elegant double bedroom, while a charming twin bedroom is up a floor, again with sloping ceilings and Velux windows.
Southwold has stacks to offer: walk along the promenade, taking in the restored pier and putting green at one end, passing by Southwold Lighthouse, the colourful beach huts and the RNLI on the way to the harbour end. In the town, there’s plenty of retail therapy opportunities and galleries to browse, plus pubs galore and the famous Adnams Brewery which also offers tours. Buy fresh fish or seafood from one of the huts along the harbour road. The foot ferry crosses from the harbour to neighbouring Walberswick. Fish and chips are obligatory, naturally.
