Gather friends, family and a four-legged loved one for a sophisticated big-group getaway – this fabulous detached property has amazing space inside and a gorgeous garden for all to enjoy. Close to the centre of elegant Overstrand – once a favourite holiday home location among wealthy Victorians – this property impresses from the outset.
Step through the entrance hall where there’s space for outdoor gear and a convenient cloakroom, and into a cosy family room with seating and a paw-warming wood burner. Perfect for downtime away from the main holiday party, there’s plenty to entertain here, including a Smart TV, piano, desk and printer, and a selection of books and games. A second living area is open-plan and has another wood burner and Smart TV; stretch out on the sofas, linger at the dining table or chat around the island breakfast bar while the chef-of-the-day cooks up a feast – there’s a Bosch coffee machine for your morning pick-me-up. A utility room houses all the essentials for a hassle-free stay and completing the ground floor is a super-king-size master bedroom with a Smart TV and patio doors leading to the garden. An en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower adds to the sense of luxury for the lucky guests who get this room! Three further bedrooms are on the first floor, each with a Smart TV: there are two king-size rooms – one with a Juliet balcony and en-suite wet room – plus a third with two small double beds. The main bathroom on this floor has a free-standing slipper bath as well as a walk-in shower. Open the doors from the kitchen or master bedroom and you’ll step straight onto the patio where there are two seating areas, a fire pit and BBQ. A few steps lead up to a large lawn edged with mature planting, and the entire garden is fully enclosed so Fido can explore at his leisure.
Stroll through the cliff-top village and you’ll find welcoming shops, pubs and eateries; the beach – accessed via a long slope which is also used to launch fishing boats – is sandy at low tide and perfect for a waggy-tailed walk. Just 2.5 miles along the coast, Cromer is one of North Norfolk’s busiest seaside towns, with family entertainment, a Victorian pier and a promenade; Cromer Crab is a mealtime must! For a change of terrain, the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall is just 5 miles inland; there’s parkland for Fido to explore and once you’ve walked up an appetite, a pet-friendly tearoom.
