In the centre of the iconic seaside town of Tenby, this bijou couple’s getaway welcomes two furry friends and is right by the prom for regular walkies. Watch TV in bed or relish the views of the harbour and beach from this conveniently compact escape.

Watch the boats bobbing in the water and the birds wheeling in the sky from the comfort of the open-plan living space in this ground-floor studio apartment. By the large window you have a folding wooden table for meals and an armchair for meditative moments, plus a sofa, TV and wood burner-effect electric fire. At the far end of the room, which can be curtained off for privacy, is a double bed and a Smart TV. The compact kitchen has all the cupboards and fitted appliances you’ll need for easy holiday cooking, and completing the apartment there’s a bathroom with a shower over the bath. If you’re planning to bring a bike, no problem – the apartment offers secure storage.

The charming town of Tenby is literally on your doorstep, so grab the leads and explore its narrow, cobbled streets, encircled by medieval walls - a more or less car-free area in the summer, too. You’ll find an eclectic mix of dog-friendly shops and a variety of great places to eat and drink. The town’s foodie reputation is steadily growing for good reason. Three beautiful beaches are within half a mile, of which South Beach is the most popular for dog walking, so your pups can stretch their legs on the golden sands and making some four-pawed friends along the way. For something a little different, try a boat trip (in the summer months) to holy Caldey Island, where you can all enjoy the tranquillity of its beautiful, remote landscape.

The location above Tenby Harbour is excellent but the property is poor overall. I expected it to be small but there were several issues including the scruffy entrance, constantly running extractor fan, cracks in the wall, mould on wallpaper, "less than clean" sofa, loose loo seat to name a few.

The only thing that this accommodation has in its favour is its location. The view is second to none. However, that is the only positive feedback that I can give. The smell of dampness was so strong.. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were poor. Urgent works are requried to this property to bring it up to standard. Disappointing.

This was my second stay at 1 Sparta House. I love its location; it's so close to the beaches and yet a short walk to the shops and restaurants, and the ground-floor apartment met all my needs for a relaxing stay. Tenby has been a long-time favourite holiday destination of mine. I hope to go back sometime, all being well

Lovely location overlooking the harbour. Studio apartment - small but comfortable enough and decently equipped - but bathroom in need of renovation. Multi-storey carpark about 7 mins walk away. 6.10 per day for parking (in June 2025).

Cleanliness was a problem, carpet needs a good clean and toaster did not work, generally just not very clean. Only nice thing was the view from the window!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Looking out over the harbour. Past reviews state that you are on street level and people look in! An understatement - it's like you're sitting in the street itself - as if you're sitting an outside restaurant table - it's that level of visibility! Unlike a restaurant table on the pedestrian, there is glass etc but it's as iRead moref they're not there! But I LOVED IT. I'm from London and people in Tenby - tourists and otherwise are SO DEEPLY kind and friendly and respectful. It's refreshing. Therefore I loved the view and the chance to interact with some whose eye you catch when I'm inside putting my feet up for a while and enjoying the view. There's a curtain you can pull for privacy. It was a cute stay. I had two dogs with me and we could go across the road for this bit of beautiful greenery for them to do their business. This little cottage has so many things you can entertain yourself with! Puzzles, books, binoculars etc. They've been so considerate in leaving things and thinking of everything you might want or need. There's adequate heating etc. So it's perfectly comfortable. It's not the most pristine - think more someone's quaint little home. So bringing in sand from the beaches doesn't make you feel guilty. It was such a sweet stay and I'd like to thank the owners.
