Gather your friends, family and four-pawed pals together for a stay in this beautiful Victorian holiday home set within the wonderfully dog-friendly location of Lynton. The beach of Blacklands is situated just a mile away from the property for doggy days out paddling in the water and having a ball.

Set over 3 floors, the open-plan living room/diner on the ground floor is a great social space with a comfortable sofa and two armchairs, a TV for entertainment and a charming wood burner set into an exposed brick fireplace making this the focal feature of the room. Dine alfresco in the multi-level garden which includes a small path of lawn for your pup to lay in the sun, a picnic bench and well-established plantings throughout the borders.

Lynton and Lynmouth have so much to explore, from the funicular cliff railway traversing up and down the hill to the Valley of the Rocks which is a beautiful place for a walk with dramatic scenery shaped during the last Ice Age. Let your dogs lead the way to adventure by joining a stretch of the South West Coast Path (1 mile) and you can visit iconic stops along the way including Heddon’s Mouth and Great Hangman, both wonderful spots for a picnic. For a traditional day at the beach, Woolacombe (21 miles) has a vast stretch of sand, turquoise waters and a number of great eateries in the surrounding area from fish and chips to delicious gourmet burgers.

We had an amazing holiday. The house was great with everything we needed. Nice little garden , super comfy beds and great showers. The shops and restaurants were great but note some close early or open late. The walk.down to the beach is steep, better to take the zig zag path down than the main road down or drive or use the Lynton Cliff Railway althRead moreough this could be expensive if used there and back every day. Woolacombe is great if you want a sandy beach about a 30 minute drive. We loved the local beach though although pebbles and rocks. Hide

The house took a bit of finding as the name used on the booking website was not visible on the house. Had to recheck the details to find the house number. House layout worked reasonably well once we got used to it. Would have liked a bit more space for walking boots and gear in the hall (not possible due to narrowness of the hall) and slightly fRead moreirmer chairs in the sitting room (my back was not happy). I loved the main bathroom. It was light and airy with plenty of floor space. The shower was a bit cramped but worked fine. The bedrooms all seemed fine. Cant comment on the en-suite as it was not my room, but it looked very pleasant. Kitchen was ok and had all the required appliances. Although there was not quite enough work surface when two people were involved in meal preparation. All in all a good house which we would be happy to return to in the future. Hide

Lovely comfortable house in a great location. Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and all amenities. Valley of the rocks is a must and loads of feral goats. Parking is on the road and there were no issues. You can buy a parking permit for the car parks that cover the area for 25 for 7 days, look on line or purchase at numerous placeRead more's including the large art centre by town hall. The house was well furnished and equipped with good oven, induction hob, washing machine, fridge freezer and brand new dishwasher. Rear garden full of fushias with lawn area and picnic table. Had washing line outside but had airer also in cupboard in dining room, plus iron and ironing board. Good wifi for the entire house. Loved staying here with my family. I had the upstairs bedroom with ensuite shower and it was brilliant. Great shower and views from window across the roof tops. Hide

The cottage is beautiful, nicely decorated and was beautifully clean. The 2 king sized beds are very comfortable and the bed linen good quality. One king bedroom to the front of the house, the family bathroom, bath and shower, facing the rear garden along with the twin bedroom. The top storey has a very large master with an impressive modern showeRead morer room. The sitting arrangements on the ground floor are very comfortable. The kitchen is very neat and tidy with sufficient room to accommodate 2/3 people cooking together. The outside space is a pleasure to sit in. The immediate neighbours are friendly without being intrusive. The area is very quiet especially on the evenings. There are shops very near to the house, along with the cliff railway. All in all, a fabulous house, great location and very comfortable. Hide
