Located in a lovely rural spot halfway between Dartmoor National Park (7 miles) and the East Devon coast (6 miles), this homely cottage is a great option for fresh-air lovers of the human and canine variety. It’s surrounded by picturesque landscapes and a fantastic base for exploring the nearby countryside attractions or enjoying the shops, cafes and restaurants of Newton Abbott 5 miles away. With space for up to five over its three bedrooms, this sunny property is suitable for a family trip or holiday among friends, with one furry friend welcome to come along, too.
You’ll enter the property to find a kitchen/diner on left and the lounge/dining room on the right. The lounge is a lovely space decorated in neutral tones, and features two comfy sofas for kicking back on after busy days out walking, plus a large table for dining. In warm weather you can open up the patio doors to let the outside in; your pet will love bounding out to the spacious grassy garden to let off some excited holiday energy. There’s also a raised patio area with outdoor seating and a parasol. A BBQ is available for those al fresco feasts; sizzle up some loveliness while your pet goes all doe-eyed over the smells.
In the national park, you’ll have easy access to mile upon mile of pet-pleasing trails you can explore with your pet – one option is heading to Canonteigh Falls (6.5 miles) or Blackingstone Rock (11 miles). If you fancy a beach trip, we recommend Holcombe (6.5 miles) where there are no dog restrictions in place. Close to Red Rock Brewery, Ugbrook House, The Royal Oak Pub in Ideford and the Elizabethan Inn at Luton. Also good for dog walking on the Haldon Hills.
