Enjoy a break with your furry companions at this traditional holiday home on the outskirts of Llanbedrog, on Snowdonia’s Llyn Peninsula. This 1830s property accommodates up to five people and two dogs, so it’s wonderful for a family holiday or a group of holidaying friends. There’s a hot tub and a games room for relaxing and when it’s time to head out, you’ll be a mile from doggie heaven (a.k.a. the beach) where you can breathe in some lovely sea air while the pets get all sandy chasing each other and making new friends.
You’ll notice plenty of original features inside this gorgeous property, such as exposed wooden beams, stone walls and characterful alcoves. It’s been thoughtfully refurbished, with slate-look floors and traditional-style furniture and soft furnishings. The homely lounge is a lovely space for kicking back in the evenings, perhaps lighting the cosy wood burner if it’s chilly. Why not soak your limbs in the hot tub or challenge a family member to a game of pool or darts? Your waggy-tailed chums will love trotting from place to place to see where the action is, before crashing out on the lawn when they’ve tired themselves out from all the fun.
Since the entire Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are endless options for long, satisfying outings that’ll please humans and canines alike. Take the 3-mile circular walk from Llanbedrog to the Tin Man sculpture (1 mile), which takes you through pretty woodland and offers wonderful views over Cardigan Bay. Further afield, you could walk or drive to the rocky headland of Cilan Uchaf (6 miles) or Porth Neigwl (5 miles), a rural beach offering plenty of peace and quiet. You may even spot some rare birds (if somebody doesn’t scare them off first!).
