Romance fills the air at this beautiful brick-and-flint cottage. Featuring a pair of inglenook fireplaces, a roll-top bath and a secret garden, it’s an idyllic coastal retreat for a small family or two couples and a canine plus-ones.
Part of a pretty terrace, this charming cottage welcomes guests into a cosy lounge where there are sofas to snuggle up on, a Smart TV and a wood burner within a striking inglenook fireplace. There’s a second paw-warming wood burner in the spacious kitchen/diner, alongside all you’ll need to rustle up a tasty feast. After an evening of fine food and good conversation, head upstairs to find a tastefully decorated twin room with an ornamental fireplace. A stylish free-standing roll-top bath steals the scene in the high-end bathroom on the first floor, complemented by a separate walk-in shower. On the second floor, there’s a king-size bedroom with a beautiful vaulted ceiling; for ultimate comfort, there’s a handy WC on this upper floor too. Outside, the enclosed back garden has outdoor furniture and a BBQ plus steps to a second, secluded lawned garden where you can play fetch or simply unwind in the sunshine.
Holiday in Weybourne and you’ll have plenty of walks on the doorstep – stroll to the local pub and shingle beach or for car-free fun, the dog-friendly North Norfolk Railway stops in the village en route between Holt (4.5 miles) and the seaside town of Sheringham (3 miles). Sheringham Park has glorious coastal views and wonderful woodland to get Fido’s tail wagging, while 6 miles in the opposite direction are the tidal creek and ancient quay at Blakeney – well-behaved dogs are welcome on the boat trips from here to Blakeney Point, where thousands of seal pups are born each winter.
