Property code: OC-30ABER

Pack the family and the dogs into the car and head for a relaxing break at this cosy cottage in the popular seaside town of Pwllheli. On arrival, you can take your pets for a stroll around the marina (150 metres) to let off the steam after the long journey, perhaps finishing off at one of two local beaches (0.5 miles and 1 mile) for a sandy run-around. This traditional-style home with two outdoor areas has room for four humans and two canine guests, so would suit a couple, a family or two couples holidaying together. Note: The front of the house has a small area which is gated. This opens onto a road. Parking is available on the road in the allocated parking bay area. Please note parking is not permitted directly in front of or opposite the property as this may obstruct traffic.

The inside of this homely accommodation is decorated in a rustic style, with a compact farmhouse-inspired kitchen that sits in the corner of the open-plan living area. Several of the walls are made from beautiful original stone. After a long day out, settle in for the night and watch something entertaining on the Smart TV while your pet warms his back by the cosy wood burner-effect electric fire, housed within a stunning inglenook fireplace. You can enjoy al fresco family meals on the lower rear patio. The enclosed upper deck is flanked by a natural stone wall on one side, and is a wonderful spot for absorbing the views over the marina and the Mid Wales mountains as your dog lazes in the fresh air.

When it’s time to venture out you can discover the town with your pet by your side, perhaps wandering around some independent shops then popping into a dog-friendly cafe or pub for lunch or a quiet drink. The entire Llyn Peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty thanks to its sandy beaches, rocky coves and scenic coastal views. Both Llanbedrog (4.5 miles) and Abersoch (7 miles) are wonderful bases for scenic walks your dog can take you on.

Great stay at the cottage. The location could not have been better for us as we were attending an event at the sailing club. The cottage is cosy, well equipped (very grateful for the fan this week!!) and well presented. Would stay here again.

Lovely cottage, location great for beaches, bus and train, cafes very dog friendly but pubs in Pwhelli definitely NOT. We were even asked to note no dogs allowed outside Weatherspoons!! Our dogs are so quiet you wouldn't have known that they were there.

This cottage was perfect for us. There were 3 of us and a greyhound. We found it cosy and so tastefully decorated. The living space and the kitchen are in the same area, so no need to feel left out of the action when cooking. The kitchen was fully equipped and spotless when we arrived. The welcome gift of butter, milk and Welsh fruit loaf was so thRead moreoughtful. We loved that the heating could be adapted and would come on to keep the cottage cosy if we wanted. There is a washing machine, vacuum and cleaning products if needed. The bathroom is a good size with a shower inside the bath. We loved the hotel grade beds that were so comfy! A hair drier is provided. The yard outside has a huge outside table and chairs that fill the patio and is great place to eat and catch the sun. There is some gravel for if you have a dog. We absolutely loved the terrace which can be reached by a set of steep steps (which have a very sturdy hand rail.) Our greyhound scaled the steps many times and loved to spend time basking in the sun. The terrace is stunning with a view above the rooftops of part of the marina. We loved relaxing on the rattan furniture, catching the sun's rays and watching the butterflies. The cottage has a wall and gate outside the front door, onto the main road, which you can park on for free. Just across the road and a quiet railway, 5 minutes from the cottage, is a stunning marina. A short walk up the marina will bring you to a beautiful cove with sand dunes and soft sand. The small town is a 15 minute walk away. There are so many beaches and places to visit nearby that Marina Beach cottage was the perfect place for us to stay. We can't wait to visit this beautiful cottage again! Hide

Lovely house. Very well decorated cosy and comfortable. The location is good for surrounding area but we found Pwllheli not particularly dog friendly with none of the local pubs allowing dogs.

This is a beautiful cottage. Great location. We had a fabulous week. Everything you could need and very comfortable beds. I had no pen so could not leave a review in the guest book. A lovely little cottage about 100m away from the marina. We stayed with our two sons and our dog Cassie. Whilst it is a very small cottage, it served all our purposes as a base to explore the region. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows so good that I had to peak to see what make they were in the hopes of getting some for at home. There is Read morea terrace with seating which really captures the sun from early morning until late in the day, but there is a very steep step access way to this, so beware with elderly or little ones. There are a couple of beaches within walking distance, easily accessible shops and pubs and some lovely dog walks. I thoroughly recommend the Jewel in the Crown Indian restaurant. The best Indian takeaway food Ive had both at home and away. Once in the car, the surrounding area is beautiful. Lots of beaches to visit and sights to see. Our favourite day was a 4 hour coastal walk to Porthdinllaen and back where we were fortunate to see some seals. Hide
