Enjoy the peace and quiet of this two-bed terraced cottage in the tranquil countryside of the Waveney Valley. Ideal for a small family, one VIP (very indulged pup) is warmly welcomed to share your action-packed holiday. You won’t get under each other’s feet with a choice of two lounges, plus a gorgeous garden seating area. Seamlessly combining contemporary styling and decor with original charm, this cottage is the perfect base for discovering this lesser-known part of the world including the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Norfolk Broads.
Bright and airy, this cottage has a surprisingly spacious feel. The modern, open-plan living area flows wonderfully from the dining table for four, to the generous fitted kitchen with all mod cons, and then a comfortable lounge area with Smart TV. This large space benefits from skylights flooding it with light, dog-friendly hard floors, and French doors out to the garden for that outdoors-indoors feel. A separate lounge has lovely period features including floorboards and an ornamental fireplace. Upstairs, there are two elegant bedrooms – one king-size and one twin for good versatility. The fully enclosed garden has a furnished patio with a BBQ as well as some lawn for important sniffing missions.
Combine local walkies with a visit to see the unusual church at Burgh St Peter (3 miles), with a couple of refreshment options along the way. Stock up on supplies and explore Beccles (5 miles) with its open-air lido and a grand church. Hire a boat from here to navigate the River Waveney or explore the Broads. Or if the coast calls, Great Yarmouth with its family-friendly Pleasure Beach is 12 miles, while the more sedate and dog-friendly Gorleston has long, sandy swathes and a prom (10.5 miles). In the warmer months, treat the kids to a day at Pleasurewood Hills (13.5 miles).
