Property code: OC-BEH

Make memories in this unique cottage overlooking Southwold’s Denes Beach. The property sleeps five guests and one furry chum and is ideal for families and groups of friends. The holiday home is set next to a paw-friendly beach, and there are some gorgeous walks to enjoy nearby, including along the Suffolk Coast Path. The cottage has an enclosed garden with spectacular views across the marshes.

The quirky cottage is bursting with personality, with exposed beams and an eclectic collection of colourful accessories and soft furnishings. Step into the welcoming lounge, which has a beautiful bay window, comfortable seating, and a Smart TV/DVD. The galley-style kitchen has a cute dining area and completing the ground floor is a shower room. The bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – are located upstairs, and both enjoy views across either the grazing marshes or the beach. There’s also a cosy single bedroom off the landing, to accommodate a fifth guest if needed. Your four-legged friend will love exploring the enclosed garden, whilst you sip a sundowner on the patio or fire up the BBQ for an evening of delicious food under the stars.

Walk out of the front door and onto the sand dunes of Denes Beach. The sand and shingle beach welcomes canine visitors all year (unlike the main beach at Southwold), and is a lovely spot for a picnic, especially at sunset. A 0.5-mile stroll will bring you to the heart of the town, where you’ll find a range of independent eateries, as well as the iconic pier with its traditional arcades (woofers are welcome on leads). A foot/paw ferry takes you across the river to the picturesque village of Walberswick. This is a popular spot for crabbing and is also a favourite amongst surfers. The village also has an excellent woof-friendly pub.

The Beach House was a brilliant property for our stay. The best location for the beach, the foodie bits by the estuary and a short walk to town - couldnt have asked for better. We had an amazing walk over to Dunwich and back, a trip to Walberswick and lots of delicious food from places in Southwold. The kitchen was well equipped so that we were ablRead moree to eat at home as well. The sunset view over the marsh from the back garden was beautiful. Massively recommended for a seaside holiday. Excellent location We had a good family weekend that we all enjoyed. The owners do need to address certain areas of the cottage.

We loved our stay at the Beach House. Its nostalgic and homely and right on the dunes. Amazing for our family summer holiday. It might be old school but its old school in a good way. Everything is very comfortable and in working order. Great mattress, big comfy sofa. Great shower. The house is well set up for sand management too, with an outside hoRead morese and guest hoover for quick cleans. Will definitely be returning! Hide

We had a wonderful stay at Beach Cottage. The location is perfect as literally 2 steps across the road and on the dog part of the beach - our little cocker loved it! We thought the cottage was very comfortable both living and sleeping areas - it was lovely to stay somewhere that felt like a home. We would definitely book again!

The cottage is in a great location but is not value for money, we stay in southwold every year and this was by far the worst accommodation . It is very tired and worn and the kitchen utensils need replacing too. It was clean though which helped us to remain there or we would have left early

Great rental in the perfext location opposite the beach. Yes it's not as modern/ luxurious as some of the others in thar stretch but it is full of charm and character and far more spacious than we expected. Comfy beds, good shower pressure and a great Garden for sunsets.
