Make memories in this unique cottage overlooking Southwold’s Denes Beach. The property sleeps five guests and one furry chum and is ideal for families and groups of friends. The holiday home is set next to a paw-friendly beach, and there are some gorgeous walks to enjoy nearby, including along the Suffolk Coast Path. The cottage has an enclosed garden with spectacular views across the marshes.
The quirky cottage is bursting with personality, with exposed beams and an eclectic collection of colourful accessories and soft furnishings. Step into the welcoming lounge, which has a beautiful bay window, comfortable seating, and a Smart TV/DVD. The galley-style kitchen has a cute dining area and completing the ground floor is a shower room. The bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – are located upstairs, and both enjoy views across either the grazing marshes or the beach. There’s also a cosy single bedroom off the landing, to accommodate a fifth guest if needed. Your four-legged friend will love exploring the enclosed garden, whilst you sip a sundowner on the patio or fire up the BBQ for an evening of delicious food under the stars.
Walk out of the front door and onto the sand dunes of Denes Beach. The sand and shingle beach welcomes canine visitors all year (unlike the main beach at Southwold), and is a lovely spot for a picnic, especially at sunset. A 0.5-mile stroll will bring you to the heart of the town, where you’ll find a range of independent eateries, as well as the iconic pier with its traditional arcades (woofers are welcome on leads). A foot/paw ferry takes you across the river to the picturesque village of Walberswick. This is a popular spot for crabbing and is also a favourite amongst surfers. The village also has an excellent woof-friendly pub.
