Completing the floor is the family bathroom, boasting a roll-top slipper bath where long evening soaks can be enjoyed after a day of exploring. On the first floor is a king-size bedroom which retains many of its original features such as exposed beams and a stone wall, as well as a vibrant twin bedroom. Outside, the garden has a selection of spaces and seating areas to enjoy, including a table for evening meals in the great outdoors and a bistro set for a more intimate setting.
Just under a mile away is Torrington Common where you can soak up the calming countryside atmosphere and take a dip in a stretch of the river to cool down on a hot day. Sniff out one of the best routes for walkies in the local area with a wander along the Tarka Trail starting and finishing at Instow (9 miles). Here, you can feel the sand between your paws before stopping off at one of the fantastic pubs and cafes along the seafront to refuel. Alternatively, head to the Hartland heritage coast (20 miles) for rugged landscapes and breathtaking scenery.
